Barèges

Ski Area

Situated in the heart of the Hautes Pyrenees is Barèges, one of two resorts that make up the Tourmalet ski area - the largest in the Pyrenees. With access to 240km of slopes and 138 pistes, it provides plenty of terrain to keep every level of skier/snowboarder busy. The majority of the ski area is ideal for intermediates but advanced skiers will enjoy exploring the off-piste and the challenging black runs over in La Mongie.

The resort is a pretty, traditional spa town which is reasonably priced and in a fantastic location with short transfers from 3 nearby airports making it the perfect resort for a short ski break. There are plenty of activities besides skiing and snowboarding such as torchlight descents and husky dog sledging excursions.
