La Mongie

Ski Area

La Mongie is part of one of the largest ski areas in the French Pyrenees, the Tourmalet, which includes 2 ski resorts that both have a combined total of 240km of skiing. With direct links by ski lift to the ski area in Barages, you get a huge variety of slopes which are great for all abilities of skier and snowboarder.

For advanced skiers looking to test their skills on the snow, The Prade Berde is probably one of La Mongie's most challenging pistes, so give it a go if you're feeling up for it! There is also some excellent off-piste in La Mongie, especially from the Pic du Midi so remember to hire a guide if you wish to ski in this area. Intermediates will love cruising down the blues in the ski area above Barages and the open bowl located just above La Mongie. Beginners should be able to find their ski legs on the slopes over at La Laquete.
